Decoupage!

Hey all!

The weekend just gone was quite a busy one for me as it was my sister’s wedding!

Of course I only wanted to help where I could naturally…She had a handmade/vintage theme going on. Which was absolutely stunning of course.

So here was my contribution to their very special day, a card box well suitcase.

Heres how it looked when I first got my hands on it:

As you can see the suitcase insides were pretty gritty and neglected. But after a good old clean and tidy up and of course the art of decoupage I was able to breathe a new lease of life into this vintage suitcase.

I was pretty happy with the end results, it fitted in a treat with the rest of the decorations. I also made the card shabby chic styled banner and included a variety of rhinestone’s in different areas of the suitcase to give it a dash of elegance.

I was able to do this all in a good days work. I was kinda sad to see this leave my side…As an artist always does has a certain attachment to there creations. But I was happy enough to love & let go of this piece. So glad it got to be used on such a special occasion that will not be forgotten for years to come.

I have tons to catch up with so I shall see you all very soon!

Take care,

Painting Cabinets!

Hey!

As you know recently I went to a car boot in search of cheap furniture for my craft fair displays.

Well I’ve had a busy morning painting away, so I’m now finally happy to share my results:

They still need a little touch up here and there, and I need to buy some more white paint for the finishing touches but im generally happy with the results so far!

Who would have thought that £6 worth of furniture could look so different with a lick of paint. I’m quandering whether to do some pinstripe painting on the side of the bigger cabinet… But with “FluffyGhost” there… Hmmmm the possibilities.

Any suggestions?

My First Custom Request!

Hi!

Recently I had my first custom request from an awesome customer to make a pink rainbow Jellyfish, after seeing me post my blue one. So that’s exactly what I did…

What do you think?

Super happy she loves it & it’s now enjoying its new home. ^____^

For anyone interested in having their own custom piece done, just drop me an email fluffyghost@hotmail.co.uk

My Jellyfish currently retail at £8.00 (Bear in mind that if you want certain materials used like just strands of pearls, it could cost more.)

I shall be adding them eventually to my Etsy as well as some Fluffyghost’s when I get a free moment. So don’t forget to always keep popping over to my shop.

Have a great day!

Busy weekend.

Hi!

So this weekend I’ve been crafting like mad, with my fellow friend who will be working the craft fair with me.

What did I make?

Well a little of this and that… Ok here’s a little sneak peak into some of my art:

A small family of purple Fluffyghosts as well as a canvas painting of “bubble people”

&…

A creepy cute melting man…Maybe I’ve been watching too much live, Pink Floyd?… Owell haha. As well as a kawaii Jellyfish. Really happy with the way it turned out. I might need to make him a little family too.

So what do you think?

Be kind! ^___<

Be back tomorrow,

I love wrapping up!

Hi,

Just quickly popping in today with a photo of my latest gift wrapping. As some of you might know, I’m like one of Santa’s elf’s…I just love wrapping presents anything really. I just take a lot of pride in it. Don’t ask why, I really don’t know haha. But when Christmas comes I wrap like crazy, from mine, Mr H’s and my fathers. (That was just last year, I was on a wrapping mission.)

Anyway here’s some wrapping I’ve recently done for one of my friend’s birthday:

Wollah!

Anyway I’m off to plan and make tons of things with my friend for our first ever craft fair. I tell you all about it when it gets closer to the date.

Have a great Saturday!

Project ReStyle.

Hi all!

I’ve been following and taking part in Elsie (A Beautiful Mess) Project ReStyle for quite so time. So as I have nothing of such to show you currently, (Well I was ill what can you expect) I thought I would share some of my favourite thrift projects: That have been given a new lease of life!

The best thing about vintage keys, is that there never seems to be a shortage of them. Which is great, as that means you can pick them up for next to nothing. (Obviously Victorian Skeleton keys cost a little bit more.) But you can do anything with them & this Project ReStyle is definitely a winner in my eyes. I just love the vivid colours, especially how they play off the different textures there hung off. Would make a dramatic display hung anywhere in the home.

This transformation from an old thrift 99 cents plaque is stunning! As much as I do love folksy decorations, who doesn’t love this inspiring surrealism piece. This is a great example of up-cycling and breathing a new lease of life into stuff most of us only throw away.

Now I know that this idea, has been floating about for quite some time, and isn’t branded as original these days…But seriously look how awesome this new cat bed is! I as many love vintage luggage, so if you have a spare retro suitcase and of course a bedless cat; then there a match made in heaven. I just love the little bunting over the kitties head. So cute! I do wanta make something like this one day. :3

Kawaii Bird Box!

Sometimes watching T.V just isn’t enough entertainment for myself & Mr H. So when he suggested doing some arts and crafts I jumped up in excitement. Yer I still get excited about using glitter and all of those glorious craft supplies you can buy!

Anyway, after endless amounts of trips back and forward to our bedroom floor, I finally gathered everything that was needed:

Pretty much everything you could need to decorate a box. So after many hours of painting and glueing away, thank goodness for the glue gun an end result sat before me.

So here is my kawaii bird box: (Be kind ^__<)

I’m actually quite happy with the end results. The good thing about being a bit of a craft supplies hoarder, is that I never really have to go out specially to buy most things for such projects. Which is quite handy!

The green moss is fake grass, I brought it from a model shop for world of war crafts kinda thing. :/

But I’m dead happy with how realistic it looks.

I would love to make these for my Etsy store but the lid is quite delicate to wrap and I couldn’t even imagine the state of it after posting. Any suggestions?

Gotta dash,

A little something…

Hi,

Just popping in today with a little something I made recently. I’ve always loved making ragga muffin wreaths, as well as sewing. So after a day of playing around with fabric, this baby was born:

I started with the intention of making a Ragga muffin wreath but after I had finished the bottom I kinda got another idea. So I layered up the wire to give it a more rustic texture and sewed together a little pink birdie. That now stands on a wire foot attached to the base. So now I have an abstract kawaii birds nest.

What do you think?

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

5 Days to my birthday woohoo…
